As Rebels, we've chosen to step out of our comfort zone and face the reality of the climate and ecological crisis. This can bring up a lot of painful emotions. Grief is natural and a healthy sign you're engaging with the issues. But it may tap into older emotional wounds, which can result in distorted perceptions of reality. High anxiety, overwhelm, guilt you're not doing enough and a sense of inadequacy are just a few examples of the feelings you may experience. A grief circle is an opportunity for you to share difficult feelings with fellow Rebels. Being truly heard by people who can empathise is often deeply healing - and listening to others can help you feel reassured you are not alone. In this circle, we will each have a set time to speak while everyone else listens. The space will be held with kindness and love and will be completely confidential, so feel free to bring any feelings you want to share. We'll close with a short meditation to help ground us before our regular meeting. Please arrive promptly at 6 - late arrivals can be disruptive to emotional sharing. The session will finish at 6.50 to give us the chance to have a cup of tea and to allow others to start arriving for the meeting at 7.
