On the 15th of June, at 8:30am, Extinction Rebellion activists are heading to the large fast fashion brands Zara and Next, on their first day of reopening, with a clear message. Change or die. Fast fashion is a disgustingly exploitative industry, of both people and planet, and it has no place in the green recovery we need. This action is to peacefully educate and call out the fast fashion industry on its sinister practices. Our messages will be printed on garments hung from 2 metre long clotheslines, and we may possibly do a teeny weeny die in as well! We cannot take a return to normal. It's fucking killing us. Details below: Gather at ZARA at 8:30 for a briefing. Bring PPE. We're gatheriing to protest peacefully and to educate. Finally, get your research in gear. We aren't blaming and shaming people who need clothes, but we can call out exploitative industries on their crap and offer well-meaning people other options. Love and rage sexy peeps x
